Transportation
Precision-machined components for the truck, passenger car, and bus manufacturers that keep transportation moving.
Years of experience across the industry.
TCS has many years of experience in producing top-quality components for use in the transportation industry. TCS has joined forces with heavy and light duty truck, passenger car and bus manufacturers to provide them with transmission components, starter shafts, alternator shafts, suspension components and oil pumps.
Typical manufacturing challenges
Transportation components are produced at scale and run for years under continuous rotation, vibration, and load — demanding tight tolerances and consistent durability across every part in the run. A shaft or transmission component that varies part to part becomes a warranty problem long before it becomes a manufacturing one.
Meeting that bar at production volume calls for a partner who can hold precision and repeatability across thousands of parts, not just a single prototype.
A single-source manufacturing partner.
TCS has joined forces with heavy and light duty truck, passenger car, and bus manufacturers to supply transmission components, starter shafts, alternator shafts, suspension components, and oil pumps built to the tolerances the transportation industry demands.
With more than 32 manufacturing processes fully integrated in-house and a dedicated internal engineering staff, TCS can carry a transportation component from raw material through machining, finishing, and inspection inside a single facility, rather than routing it between outside shops.
Processes suited to shafts and drivetrain components
Shafts and rotating drivetrain components call for tight-tolerance turning and milling, precision grinding, and — where a component's geometry calls for it — deep hole drilling.
Where TCS shows up on the vehicle
TCS supplies transmission components, starter shafts, alternator shafts, suspension components, and oil pumps to truck, passenger car, and bus manufacturers.
Value-engineered from the first drawing
TCS's internal engineering staff uses AutoCAD and Mastercam® to simulate tool paths and sequences for optimum efficiency and accuracy before the first chip is cut. That same team helps source, test, and qualify materials for the application at hand, delivering value-engineered solutions to market rapidly, cost-effectively, and with outstanding quality.
